Week of Welcome Coffee Carts

Library Quad, PSEC Quad, ASFC Office/Welcome Center, Admissions & Records
Don't worry about breakfast the first few days of Spring Quarter. We've got you covered!
You'll find ASFC coffee carts on campus for coffee/tea/water, campus maps, info, and flyers in the following locations:
- ASFC Offices (outside the Welcome Center)
- Library Quad (at the steps)
- PSEC Quad (in front of KJ's Cafe at the 4000s)
- Admissions & Records (Building 8000)
Coffee/tea served 9 a.m.鈥1 p.m. (while supplies last). Stop by to meet ASFC members and to get your questions answers about all things Foothill. We also like to surprise by giving out freebies!

Muslim Heritage Month Opening Ceremony

We officially kick off Muslim Heritage Month with a powerful Opening Ceremony. Join us in celebrating Eid al-Fitr and to learn more about Muslim heritage!
Eid is an Islamic Holiday that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan where worshipers fasted from dawn until sunset as a way to grow spiritually, practice self discipline, and develop empathy. During Eid, celebrants get gifts, called 鈥淓idi鈥, wear new clothes, and have festive parties. We鈥檒l have lunch, henna, and crafting tables.

Virtual Artist Talk with Zahra Siddiqui

Virtual Artist Talk with Zahra Siddiqui, a Toronto-based portrait photographer with a focus on BIPOC and social justice. She founded The Invisible Majority Project. IG @zahra_siddiqui or @the_invisiblemajority.

Zahra Siddiqui is a Toronto-based, self-taught photographer and social justice artist
who picked up the camera twelve years ago with a clear purpose: to empower communities
through the visual arts and the power of visibility and representation.
Her archive of portraits, mixed-media work, and community activations celebrates the existence of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, and those who live on the margins of society. Over time, Zahra has evolved beyond photography, experimenting with acrylic paint, textiles, and adornments to create layered, multidimensional portraits that deepen their emotional and political impact.
With a background in Child & Youth Work and her own lived experience as a Muslim, Pakistani, queer woman of color, Siddiqui's practice is deeply personal and intentionally political. Her work begins with self-empowerment鈥攁nd radiates outward, offering others the gift of being seen, celebrated, and represented.

Join us in bringing our Muslim Heritage Month events and festivities to a close with an engaging ceremony filled with activities, music, and community. Food and beverages will be provided.

Speaker Nadine Masour presents "Palestine 101"

Join us for a meaningful and educational conversation about Palestine.
Nadine will lead us in an open discussion that addresses a common barrier to engagement:
the misconception that the topic of Palestine/Israel is simply 鈥渢oo complicated.鈥
Together, we鈥檒l explore the historical and ongoing impact of more than a century of
Zionist policies. Palestine 101 is intended to support both newcomers and those more familiar with the issues in
deepening their understanding of Palestinian history and the ongoing struggle for
justice, liberation, and the right of return, all while fostering respectful, inclusive
dialogue.
