Before Completing the Application
To be eligible to run for ASFC Elected Officer Position, prospective candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in at least 8 units at º£½ÇÉçÇø, and maintain that throughout the next academic year (2026-2027)
- Have paid your student body fee and be an OwlCard holder.
- Have a quarterly and cumulative grade point average of 2.0, and must maintain that throughout the next academic year (2026-2027).
- Submit a completed application by the application submission deadline. Candidates for President and Vice Presidents must all turn in individual applications in order for them to be considered eligible.
- Attend the mandatory candidates’ information session meetings. Any candidate unable to attend must notify the Elections Committee immediately and arrange an alternate time to meet with the ASFC Advisor and at least three (3) Elections Committee members. Candidates who do not attend one of the mandatory meetings or set up a separate time are prohibited from running in the election.
- Be in good standing with the college. Not be on academic or disciplinary probation.
- Not have filed or intend to file transfer applications to any college/university. Transfer applicants who are committed to another institution must withdraw from the ASFC Elections immediately.
- Not be a member of the Elections Committee.
- Any violation of academic integrity or the student code of conduct will follow Foothill College disciplinary procedures with a report to the Elections Committee as appropriate.
- Not have held candidacy in any student government elections within the same academic year.
- Not have held office for three (3) consecutive or nonconsecutive year-long terms.
- Be familiar with ASFC Constitution, ASFC Bylaws, and ASFC codes.
- Attend any and all mandatory meetings held by the Elections Committee.
- Be enrolled at º£½ÇÉçÇø in a minimum of 8 units during the quarter PRIOR to and DURING the quarter in which the candidate application is submitted. Candidates must have º£½ÇÉçÇø as their primary college at the time of application and throughout the term in office.
- ASFC President and Student Trustee candidates must schedule a mandatory meeting with the ASFC Advisor along with current president and student trustee prior to submission of application. Candidates for the five (5) Vice President positions are required to schedule a meeting with the current officer in their prospective position before the start of campaign week.
If elected to ASFC Office, you must:
- Serve 4 quarters (summer through spring 2026-2027)
- Be available for online training throughout the rest of spring quarter 2026.
- Be available Sept. 7–16, 2026 for planning & training before fall quarter.

- Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 1 p.m. •
- Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 2 p.m. In Person in Toyon Room (2020). Note: This is an informational item during the Campus Council Meeting.
Submit Your Application Online by the Deadline
Thursday, April 16, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. — including your 100-word statement/bio to appear on the election ballot. Email your ballot photo (100x100 px) and OPTIONAL video (one-minute or less) to asfc.austinf@gmail.com AND smalldaphne@fhda.edu.
Campaign Week Begins
Tuesday, April 21, 2026 — Optional design services for promotional material are available through the ASFC
